In the Castello Sforzesco, the Collections are settled in the 2 passages that extend from the Duke’s courtyard to the Rocchetta. The employed artwork Collection admits 20 Italian and foreign collections and is the most over and significant collection of it has kind in Italia. Formed in late 19th century as a catalog of historic examples for various manufactories, it subsequently was enriched with pieces of great grandness such as “Arazzi Trivulzio” acquired in 1935, and with the addition of approximately 650 instruments donated by Natale Gallini in 1958. The grandiose dance hall, once, house to the Duke’s parties and games of “pallacorda”; the “Arazzi dei mesi” (tapis of the months) planned by Bartolomeo Suardi called il Bramantino and frames organised by Bernardino da Milan are altogether of special interest. The prestigious seventeenth century “liuteria” (lutings) made by artists such as Nicola Amati, Andrea Guarneri and Antonio Stradivari.
